But it doesn't have a tripod mount.
I just came back from Home depot and did this:
Here is how it's done:
Buy a 1/4-20 nut (6c)
Superglue gel ($2.75)
Tripod vivitar ($34)
glue the nut to the end of the webcam's base
let it dry then mount
That's all.And if you like this, get McDROID.
Thanks !
Hi
ReplyDeleteIt's a very good idea.
I search the web for a tripod for this cam and YOU HAVE the solution.
In french, I'll say 'Chapeau bas'
Greg
Fantastic! This is a great idea. I've also scanned the web for a solution and ended up here.
ReplyDeleteI'm swedish so I'll say "Tack så mycket!"
and in my native tongue I'll reply "Génial, content que ca marche"
DeleteI love the KISS approach. And its the perfect solution to my problem :)
ReplyDeleteTHANK YOU! This was the one issue I had with this camera, and you've come up with an elegant and inexpensive solution!
ReplyDeleteThank you! So simple, yet so practical...
ReplyDeleteYou'd have thought webcam makers would fit one as standard these days, 6c (10p) is nothing to them and it would make their products so much more useful!
It's probably more than that because you need to account for returns due to cheap metal use or defect in the plastic construction and people forcing their tripod screw in there (oh la la).
DeleteBrilliant! Thanks.
ReplyDeleteWow this is a very good and simple idea, thank you so much!
ReplyDeleteDitto all the other comments. Brilliant and simple! Cheers!
ReplyDeleteWhy didn't I think of that? You're a life saver!
ReplyDeleteBrilliant! I just added a 1/4-20 nut to my C910 last night. The only change I made was to mount the nut to the outside of the folding part so I could still clip the webcam to a monitor (and not scratch the monitor with the nut).
ReplyDeleteGot a photo of it ?
DeleteYep, this works. Thanks so much! I was getting ready to postpone my recording but now I don't have to.
